Disney Construction has been building quality homes in the Triad area for over 25 years. It is a family business owned an operated by Francis and Patricia Disney. As a team their specialty lies in a hands on approach to each home that they build.
In 2003 Disney Construction was awarded Builder of the Year in recognition of loyalty, enthusiasm, and dedication to the GGBA. In 1995 the Great Greensboro Builders Association awarded Francis with the Gulledge Award. The award recognizes outstanding contributions to the association, building industry, and community.
Disney Construction has completed three homes for the Habitat For Humanity "Raising The Roof" project. This is a project where area builders and members of the GGBA come together to complete a house during a week long "blitz".
In the 1990 Showcase of Homes Disney Construction was recognized for its partnership with the Weaver Education Center. Area high school students were able to utilize the skills learned in their classes to assist in the design and construction of the Showcase home entry.
A project that is close to the heart of Disney Construction is Room At the Inn of the Triad, a transitional home for pregnant mothers. One of the homes, Amy's House, was named in honor of their deceased daughter. With the help of the Greensboro Remodeling Council, Disney Construction renovated the house to make it suitable for the program.
